Minutes of the meeting follow:


 

   July 16, 2008

 

The annual recognition banquet was held at the theater, with 46 in attendance.  Thanks to Kris Kitzinger, Chairman, the lower level was converted into a 1950’s diner and most in

attendance dressed the part.  Steve Gray’s band, Three Legged Dog, played ‘50s music and  Mike Cain and crew prepared burgers, hot dogs, french fries & fried onion rings,

with ice cream floats for dessert.  A good time was had by all.

     


   Shari Phillips, President, thanked all who helped with the past year and a list of  volunteers was read by Janet Day.   Steve Gray reported that Bye Bye Birdie had an attendance of 860 people, with $8500 brought in, and gave

kudos to Robin Overbey. 

 


                 Robin told of the award we are to receive from the SW Indiana Arts Council,

the only community theater to receive one this year, and presented the upcoming plays.

 


 

               Shari presented certificates to the directors of our past four plays.

 

              Shari presented the McGavic Award to Charlie Heflin and to Tom Compton;

and the Ham Award to Terry Garner for Kiss or Make Up and to Mimi Tucker for Bye Bye Birdie; Kris presented the Winnie Wilson Award to Sue

Clark and Mary Jo presented the Vermillion Award to Shari Phillips.


 

                 Elections were held and the members accepted as President, Robin Overbey,

Vice-Pres., Rick Riggins, Treasurer, Steve Gray, Recording Secretary, Mary

Alice Gordon and Corresponding Secretary, Vickie Puffer.

Members elected to serve two-year terms on the artistic board include Janet Day, Kris Kitzinger, John Rogers, Shari Phillips and Mary Jo Vermillion.

Business board members with one year remaining are Emily Bunyan, Kristi

Deetz, Bill Heller, Gary Olson and Carol Phillips
